How can I find the MLS # of property for sale, or determine if it has been sold?

I misplaced the MLS # of a piece of property that was for sale a few months ago. When I looked for it online using the address, nothing came up. I have the pin # and name of the owner, but the owner lives out of state, and the only address listed for the owner, is the property that was for sale.

I sent a letter to that address, and it was returned to me stating no one by that name lives there. Also, the postman and neighbors told me the house is empty and does not have any residents to their knowledge. How can I find out if this property has been sold, or how can I contact the owner to discuss buying the property?

Thanks. How can I find the MLS # of property for sale, or determine if it has been sold?
Call a local Realtor and ask them to look up the address in the MLS system for you..

If you were looking on Realtor.com or something similar..The properties only show up there until they are pending and or sold..So the only way you will find out is to call a Realtor and ask..ssHow can I find the MLS # of property for sale, or determine if it has been sold?
Call the real estate agent that had it listed.

Or just call any agent in the town and ask them to check on it for you. Did it sell? What's going on with that house, I'm interested.

Those are your best bets. As you can see there are plenty of ways to waste your time, so just call the realtors, they don't charge you for this info.
Contact any real estate office , have them run the street address to determine if the house is pending, withdrawn, under contract or even sold. Realtors have all the information in computer, at their finger tips.---just call--may just maybe you still have the chance to buy that house. Do not commit to the Realtor- you have the owners name--write him a letter--ask the question. Take it from there. I am a Realtor--wish I were there to help you. Good luck!!!!

Hire a realtor thats in that area to locate what your looking for...

OR

travel to the county court house...county of the home your looking at....Go to the real property office..Give them the info you have and they will locate the owner..Its on the tax map anyhow..and they are located in that office..I know this for sure thats how i find owners and tax maps..
HUD.com.... and get a good agent to put a good bid in for you...

If you need a good one in Michigan... I am your gal!

Assuming you're looking at buying it, contact any realtor.
You have to contact a real estate agent who is cool enough to go into their MLS system and tell you what is going on with the property. This will take them a quick second.
