I would like to know if there is listing right of rescission in California. I am having second thoughts about listing a property. I listed a property but would like to cancel it has been two days.Is there a 3 day right of rescission in California after listing a property for sale with a broker?
it is a no-no if you are going with someone else. and could find yourself in hot water. You can change the price up or down any time you want, maybe. If they bring someone over to your place with full money and no contingencies you would be accountable to the broker for commissions. Is there a 3 day right of rescission in California after listing a property for sale with a broker?
Just call your agent and let him/or her know that you have had a change of heart! There is no three day right on a listing. A good agent will understand and let you out of the contract especially if they do not even have the sign up. Just be honest, but if on the other hand that agents sees another agents sign up, that would be another story.
You can cancel at anytime. We call it ';Withdrawn listing';, just call the broker and telll him that you want to take your home our of the system, he / she should give a ';release'; form to sign and that it is.
(unless you have a contract in that property)
