Estate with property for sale what is the way this is handled?

we have 2 propertys an 5 people to share equally . there was no execitive but 1 person was givin the power to pay bills. he has done things without telling any one an no acct of spending or repairs were givin to the other 4. after 2 years he has finally listed 1 property with realastate . he would say he had people that were gona buy it an i have never seen the offers. the other house 1 of my brothers wants to buy so it sits unlisted an he hasnt got fiancing yet thats been 18 months. what should i do when i ask about getting acct of spending an all the times i said to list the houses arguring started.i think this was bad handling should the lawyor be reponsiuble at all thank youEstate with property for sale what is the way this is handled?
I'm also guessing that since one brother has taken 18 months to secure financing and hasn't done so, he is probably already living in the house??? Hense why he has absolutely no urgency to convert from a non-paying tenant into a homeowner?

Somebody needs to rally the troops here %26amp; get things in order. Whether be by the ruling from a judge or if one or all of you hire an attorney. I doubt probate or the estate are still open after if it's been at least 2 years. If it isn't NOW it the time to start making noice %26amp; get things back on track.

If the one paying the bills is using estate funds to pay the bills, there needs to be itemized accounting %26amp; reporting of how those funds are spent.

Also, to allow this much time to pass is risking all estate funds to be depleted or used up on Lord knows what and you %26amp; the other 2 siblings could be left with nothing once it's all said %26amp; done because one brother is living in a house, rent free (probably) %26amp; will come up with some lame excuse about how much money he has invested to repair the home, therefore he thinks he should have to pay nothing for it.

The other that is paying the bills %26amp; lists the other home for sale will claim either he's spend spent personal money keeping things a float or paying bills not to mention his time %26amp; duties %26amp; therefore he's also entitle to repayment. (Executors are entitled to be compensated for their time %26amp; duties - It may be extremely overpaid so this needs to be monitored!)

Estates bring out the ABSOLUTE worst in people, even when you had no prior inkling there was any greed. Forgive me for saying, but even the best of Christians when faced with these situations can become very greedy %26amp; ugly people to deal with.

Unfortunately, greedy people can justify ANYTHING and have a ';sense of entitlement'; when it comes to taking what they want %26amp; then feeling they have ';earned'; it or ';are entitled'; to it because they did more work, or they visited the deceased more, or on %26amp; on %26amp; on...

My mother's passing nearly a year ago has split my family as well.Estate with property for sale what is the way this is handled?
It just goes to show you that a plan helps things go smoother.

I would have told the brother that I would be listing the house within four weeks unless he bought it before then. After that he would be just like anyone else.

It is a lot of work and stress being responsible for all of this. I feel sorry for everyone. If a plan had been clear from the beginning then it would be all settled by now.
This should be probated, Going thru that for the last 6 years.. You will get screwed big time, and the one handling the bills will charge for all his time and trouble.. Your family will fall apart as has mine.

They cannot sell unless all heirs are in agreement,,, Judge will make final decision.
