Unusual Properties for sale?

I read in a Home magazine that you can purchase unusual properties for a fraction of the price e.g old schools, gate houses, train station houses, oast houses, houses built under cliffs, old churches etc, do you know where i would find these?

Unusual properties are very desirable... because they are unusual.


The only way they come to the market cheap is if there is no planning permission for change of use and the change of use is unlikely to be granted.


Derelict buildings may also look cheap but the cost of renovation (which you could expect to include structural work) would mean they would be prohibitively expensive to renovate.


Experienced property developers will already have contacts (estate agent, solicitors etc) who will pass on the best properties in a particular area.Unusual Properties for sale?
Just be careful, historic building codes, along with regulations to make a building deemed livable may not cooperate too well with your budget or each other. Good luck though.
